The following temples and shrines are located in Ueno Park, a popular place for hanami: Kiyomizu Kannon-dou (for women who want to conceive a child), Ueno Toushou-guu (dedicated to Tokugawa Ieyasu), Hanazono Inari Jinja (dedicated to Inari, the goddess of fertility), Gojouten Jinja (health and medicine), and certain buildings from the Kan'ei-ji temple complex which was built here earlier.
